Rice, (Oryza sativa), edible starchy cereal grain and the grass plant (family Poaceae) by which it is produced.

Rice is an annual plant with several jointed culms or stems from 2 to 10 feet long.

Roughly one-half of the world population, including virtually all of East and Southeast Asia, is wholly dependent upon rice as a staple food; 95 percent of the world’s rice crop is eaten by humans.

All seeds are tested and grown on our farm in Malawi and our growing area in South Africa. Please check conditions in your area for the type of seed to be grown. Growth rates and germination times are dependent on many factors such as soil conditions, rainfall/watering patterns, climate, and many more.
